Rørvik's new church will be built on the old site of the church, on the hill near the harbour. The building ascends toward the water with its sacred sign, and as a landmark, embodies a visible icon for approaching ships. At the same time, the church complies with the urban structure of the adjacent buildings and the layout of the town.

Office Building Cevital, Algiers

The city centre of Algiers is to acquire a new 24 storey office building. Gerd Priebe Architects & Consultants have developed a distinctive curving formed object which will be erected in close proximity to the historical inner city and the Mediterranean bay.

Mosque, Algiers

In the next few years the largest Mosque in the world after Mekka and Medina with space for over 100,000 believers will be built in the capital city of Algeria. The competition design from Gerd Priebe Architects and consultants is a multi levelled plateau ensemble that is both integrated and in harmony with the existing city architecture and topographical context. The imposing glass dome of the Mosque and the elegant high climbing minaret of the ensemble can be seen from afar lying between the old city and the Mediterranean Sea.

Saegeling Medizintechnik, Heidenau

The Saegeling Medizintechnik GmbH develops high quality machines for the area of sleeping diagnostic, monitoring and medical technological machinery for newborn babies. In order to cope with the growing interest from their customers, the company decided in 2006 to add a further office building to the existing complex. The office of Gerd Priebe was contracted to undertake the planning. The organically formed building design, constructed according to the plans of gpac, sets a striking architectural highlight directly adjacent to the existing company headquarters.

Residential Towers, Abu Dhabi

The design concept is based on the need for creating an individual identity for its users within an urban context. Building on this idea, gpac developed a residential module unit incorporating the principal of a “single family house.”

Research and Laboratoy Building of EPAU, Algiers

ABC-Tower - Airport Business Center, Algiers

In the Algier airport of the capital city of Algiers the existing airport business centre is going to be expanded with the ABC-Tower. The office of Gerd Priebe Architects and Consultants were contracted to undertake the design studies and have developed an elegant building structure that has a clear relationship to the existing city planning and is simultaneously a deliberate independent expression.

Childcare Center, Buehlau

Acceptance of ecological, social and cultural responsibility for ourselves and the future of our children is spreading around the globe and is being supported by an increasing population. How does all this play a role in the design of a “socially sustainable” childcare center?

Social Paediatric Center, Dresden

The Center is the pearl of the Neustadt Clinic in Dresden. The user is the focus of this building, where space extends beyond traditional visual patterns; where conventional architectural experiences are broadened and heightened. The social pediatric center is a day clinic directed by pediatricians which provides early diagnosis and therapy of developmental disorders, disabilities and illnesses of infants, children and young adults. The idea of the new building is to support the development of the children and to present the doctors, psychologists, therapists and educators with innovative options to integrate the “architectural energy” into the individual therapies. Our goal is to activate the personal senses by using form, color, fragrances, sound, haptic surfaces and light to create a positive experience of the space.

Computer centre 4, Bautzen

The new intelligence AG computer centre is to be built directly on the B96 from Dresden to Bautzen with a view of the Ortenburg castle. As a design and functional study, gpac developed a building that, with its dynamic and transparent architecture, conveys the image of intelligence AG as a leading full-range SAP service provider, and that sets a new standard for sustainable construction.

Kutscherhaus, Dresden

…imagine a closed production loop. Imagine products that are utilized and enjoyed and produced with intelligent manufacturing and finishing processes. Imagine these things do not end up discarded in rubbish bins, garbage transports or incinerators, but rather are returned to the production loop to create new and useful beautiful products.

Carbon Pavillon, Dresden

The Berlin Institute for Population and Development believes that the world’s population will reach 8 billion by the year 2025. With the rise in population, our daily need for diverse resources will also continue to grow. As architects and building engineers, we can contribute to this development by creating new solutions in the form of construction and production processes, that require fewer resources and that are considerably more efficient than present methods.
